WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday plus Saturday mornings on a rota (paid at overtime x1.5)
SALARY: Basic up to £36,000 + £8,400 bonus
Exciting brand new opportunity at Jaguar Land Rover for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our state-of-the-art facility. This role is ideal for a talented and enthusiastic individual looking to advance their career within a premium brand environment. As a Workshop Controller, you will supervise and motivate our team of Technicians & Apprentices and proactively review and prioritize the daily workload.
You will be a key part of our Aftersales Department, reporting to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support and training opportunities to help you progress within the Jaguar Land Rover brand and the wider motor trade industry.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the daily operations of the workshop, ensuring technicians meet their targets.
* Assist the Service Manager in delivering excellent customer service and achieving department profitability.
* Maintain high customer satisfaction through quality checks and service standards.
* Ensure all service work is completed correctly, efficiently, and on time.
* Foster relationships with vehicle manufacturers and support technicians during repairs.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety, DVSA, and OEM standards.
* Coordinate with colleagues and departments to provide top-quality service.
* Schedule work considering workshop targets, job complexity, and parts availability.
* Support the team with technical challenges and prepare technical reports.
Candidate Requirements:
* Motor industry experience managing a team in a busy Service/Workshop environment.
* NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
* Knowledge of COSHH legislation, trade practices, and consumer legislation.
* Understanding of quality control and inspection standards.
* Friendly, confident, enthusiastic, and team-oriented attitude.
* Full valid UK driving license.
