Join Our Team as a Learning Support Assistant!
Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant or Teaching Assistant eager to support students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Axcis Education is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work in both mainstream and SEND schools in the Bodmin area, focusing on students with ASD and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Position Details:
Location: Bodmin
Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday)
Hours: 08:30 AM - 03:30 PM
What You’ll Do:
1. Provide 1:1 support and work in small groups or booster sessions.
2. Create a friendly and supportive atmosphere for students.
3. Stay calm and positive, even in challenging situations.
4. Help students with SEND thrive in their educational journey.
Ideal Candidates Will:
1. Be approachable and friendly.
2. Be supportive and a positive influence on students.
3. Have a genuine passion for enabling SEND students to succeed.
Experience and Knowledge in Areas Such As:
1. SEMH
2. Support Work
3. Mental Health Support
4. Trauma-informed practices
5. Sports Coaching or Teaching
