Responsibilities
:
* Providing competent Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) advice, governance and assurance for construction projects and allied activities, both in the office and on project sites within the UK, and SHE advice for overseas projects if required
* Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for construction SHE advice to Project Managers (PMs) and Engineers and the application of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM)
* Supporting PMs review the suitability of construction phase plans and supporting documentation and assist with monitoring SHE performance of our supply base across project sites within the UK.
* Supporting projects delivered by the Real Estate and Infrastructure team of Shared Services Specialist & Infrastructure Support (SIS) and providing SHE support to any Shared Services team.
* Supporting the SHE Function and SIS Leadership Team by helping to record, collate, and report relevant SHE data and business metrics.
* Motivating and coaching others to appropriately consider SHE during decision-making within their teams & projects.
* Supporting the development and deployment of SHE strategy, policy, and objectives across a number of sites in the UK
Experience required:
* Have an in-depth understanding of construction industry SHE requirements and external best practices.
* Hold a NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK), or an equivalent RQF/CQFW Level 3 SHE qualification.
* Knowledge of SHE management system certification standards (ISO & ISO) - Desirable
* Knowledge of construction contract management and project management - Desirable
* Need to hold a valid UK drivers' licence as travel will be required to various sites
