We need dedicated and motivated individuals to work with us this Christmas to make sure all the letters and packages get to everyone in time for the big dayYou’ll be part of a big team of helpers, all working together to ensure the job is done on time. We have lots of different shifts and times available so you can find the right shift for you, we do need you to be available for the whole time, as there’s lots of work to do. JOIN THE CHRISTMAS TEAM As a Warehouse Sorter for Angard Staffing, this role will be based at our busy Parcelforce distribution centre. You’ll load and unload vehicles; scanning and labelling parcels quickly and efficiently, making sure every single package leaves our processing centre on time and in perfect condition.At Parcelforce Worldwide it’s not just what we do, it’s how we do it that matters.That’s why we’re on the lookout for Warehouse Sorters to join the team, support the growing business and exceed customer’s expectations. Day-to-day of the role: Loading and unloading large parcels from vehicles, always ensuring careful handling of items. Operating the parcel sort machine as part of a team, contributing to the smooth running of the distribution process. Switching between various tasks during a shift, adapting to the needs of the operation. Lifting and carrying items up to 30kg, equivalent to 32 bags of sugar, and pushing up to 250kg with assistance provided for larger items. Standing comfortably for extended periods during the shift. As a Warehouse Sorter, you will need the following: Flexibility to handle various tasks and adapt to a dynamic work environment. Physical capability to lift and carry heavy items up to 30kg. Previous experience in warehouse or sorting work is advantageous but not essential. If you have worked for other distribution companies like Amazon, DPD, DHL, or XPO, you are highly desirable Excellent organisation skills Upbeat and self-motivated. A brilliant team player Additional Information National Hub: Very manual based so lots of walking and lifting involved Fast paced environment Loading and unloading from trailers Locating parcels into correct areas by depot and post code National Hub Shift Patterns Day shift – starting between 07:30 and 08:00 finishing between 16:30 and 17:00Night shifts – start times 5pm, 6pm, 7pm, 9:30pm and will all finish around 03:30am International Hub: Lighter duties than national Data entry – Inputting address/post codes and parcel information onto computer systems Locating parcels into correct areas by depot and post code. International Hub Shift Patterns Day shift - 07:45 to 15:30Late Shift - 16:30 to 00:30Night shift - 20:00 to 04:00 Pay Rates At both sites you would be paid day shift rate between the hours of 06:00 and 19:00 and then from 19:00 until 06:00 paid at night shift rate.Day rate: £14.09Night rate: £16.28 there may be additional uplifts in pay for London locations, overtime (over 40 hours) and bank holidays although these are not guaranteed.
