Requirements:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced technical engineer with extensive experience in 3rd line support. You should possess a relevant degree or technical qualification, or have substantial experience in this line of work. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Azure Stack, Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems (10 and 11), Microsoft Office365, Microsoft365 stack (E5 components), Microsoft Windows Server operating systems (2016, 2019, and 2022), Microsoft Exchange Online, and Microsoft SQL Server is essential. Knowledge of enterprise security tools and techniques, along with experience in SCCM and MECM, is also beneficial. You should be confident in leading penetration test procurements and managing vulnerability scanning, with excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The ability to work independently and lead by example while demonstrating knowledge and experience in incident management is crucial.
Your responsibilities are:
In this newly created role, you will act as the primary technical escalation point for our support team, providing 3rd line support services for AHDB, including basic SQL server support. You will offer a comprehensive support service for all system users, ensuring issue logging, problem diagnosis, and resolution in line with SLAs. Compliance with procurement and security policies for all IT procurements and projects is important, particularly in leading penetration test procurements and managing vulnerability scanning. You will oversee major incident management and Windows patching compliance, participate in product evaluation and selection exercises, and conduct various systems administration tasks. Supporting users with Microsoft Office365 and other core supported software will also be part of your duties, along with implementing cyber security changes as identified by the Security team. You will execute change requests, contribute to technology projects, provide application packaging and support for SCCM and MECM, maintain security controls, and ensure IT databases are accurate, complete, and maintained to required standards.
