The HR Graduate will sit within the Central HR team supporting over 18 sites and will report into the Head of HR (England and Central Divisions).
The graduate will rotate across our South West, Midlands and North East Regions on 3 x 8 month rotations.
Working within an established team of HR professionals each with their own area of expertise, you will have an opportunity to build upon your existing skills and continuous personal development.
On this scheme, you’ll develop a broad range of HR expertise, gain experience across different disciplines, and get all the support you need to help you work towards a professional qualification and develop your career.
As part of your induction, you’ll join a bootcamp in all things People and Places. After this, you’ll rotate through a variety of teams – either specialist centres of expertise or generalist teams that work directly with the business.
Not only will this give you a complete view of our function but also a strong foundation as a multi-skilled HR professional. From people policies to analysing data, helping deliver organisational changes, to understanding what makes our culture work, you’ll learn the many and varied ways we help our teams be at their best and discover the kind of career path you could develop into.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Supporting ABP sites covering HR Manager/teams which will require travel and overnight stays across the UK and NI.
2. Covering the HR functions at site
3. Liaising with on-site employees and management teams
4. Recruitment and Onboarding
5. File Compliance
6. Absence Management, Disciplinary and Grievance
7. Liaising with Occupational Health
8. Employee Wellbeing and Engagement
General Support:
1. Providing more general Ad-Hoc support to wider members of the HR team on multiple different projects and workstreams.
Employee Relations Support:
1. Compliance & Ethics Support
2. HR Project work
3. L&D Support
Knowledge and Experience:
We’re looking for graduates that have studied a CIPD or equivalent degree.

2. Strong analytical, presentation and IT skills.
3. You will be numerate, confident with numbers and able to assimilate complex information.
4. You will have strong IT skills particularly Excel.
5. You will have strong networking and influencing skills.
6. Great interpersonal, negotiation and resolution skills.
7. You will be resilient and able to work with pace and use your own initiative.
8. Full UK driving license.
