CP chair and IRO’s sit within children’s services but are independent of the Local Authority. They are a dedicated team of experienced workers who make an important contribution to the goal of improving of improving outcomes for children. The safeguarding unit operate with two dedicated services: Child protection Conference Chairs, committed to ensuring that child protection plans are robustly implemented, reviewed, and progressed to ensure timely outcomes for children and young people. and the Independent Reviewing Service whose primary focus is to build relationships with children and young people to ensure their voice is heard, and to quality assure the care plans for each child who we look after Each service area has a dedicated manager who will support you to, deliver confident practice and be the best you can be.

Our Team Managers are passionate about the outcomes for children and families, and we are passionate about them:
Pay is £50,788 to £51,802 per annum for a full time salary, and re-imbursement of the annual £90 Social Work England registration fees (conditions apply).
Local Government Pension Scheme.
A 37 hour working week.
26 days annual leave (rising to 31 days after 5 years), plus an additional day of leave over the Christmas period and the option to buy an additional 10 days on top of that.
