We are looking for a Sales Associate to join our Surgical Technologies Sales team covering South & Midlands of the UK.
Role Overview
Working closely with an experienced Regional Sales Manager, you will develop and foster strong relationships with key opinion leaders. You will participate in customer education, support Regional Sales Representatives, and help achieve greater customer engagement and commercial success with our Neptune portfolio. The role involves actively pursuing business opportunities to grow Stryker's presence in targeted accounts, demonstrating exemplary customer service and patient focus.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop skills required to become an effective sales representative.
2. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure compliance with current contracts.
3. Learn and practice techniques to grow sales volume within a defined territory using the Surgical Technologies portfolio.
4. Focus on market-leading brands such as Neptune and Safe Air.
5. Manage business within existing accounts and oversee the day-to-day operations of key accounts.
6. Handle stock issues, instrument requirements, organize loan kits, and conduct regular customer training, providing guidance on the safe use of Stryker products in hospital and theatre environments.
7. Support other sales managers to focus on new business acquisition and account development.
This role is primarily training with the goal of becoming a full-time Sales Representative with independent targets. Initially, there will be no individual sales targets; bonuses will be based on milestones and regional achievements. The role supports all products within the Surgical Technologies portfolio.
Key Accountabilities
1. Learn to manage a territory effectively and grow business in line with national sales objectives.
2. Implement and deliver training sessions and workshops on Stryker products to healthcare professionals.
3. Understand customer needs and identify opportunities to promote and sell products, with training in basic selling, presentation, and negotiation techniques.
4. Manage product provision channels, including consignment and loan services, to meet customer needs.
5. Provide excellent customer service within hospitals and clinical environments, building strong relationships with key personnel.
6. Prioritize patient care by recommending appropriate products.
7. Collaborate with the sales team and management to ensure high service levels and attend relevant training and conferences.
8. Maintain professionalism, ethics, and respect in all interactions, representing Stryker positively.
9. Conduct product trials and evaluations in theatre and clinical settings.
10. Record customer details and develop basic business plans to prioritize activities and grow business.
Job Requirements
* Sales or business experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Commercial acumen and interest or experience in customer engagement.
* Proficiency in presentation skills and familiarity with modern presentation media.
* An interest in anatomy and physiology.
* Ability to engage, influence, motivate, and work diligently.
