Lifeguard/Leisure Centre Attendants (Public Sector) - Full Time & Part Time

VANRATH are recruiting a Leisure Centre Attendant (Full Time & Part Time) to carry out various duties as directed by the Senior Attendant to ensure the delivery of a quality leisure service to all customers.
Remuneration:
£12.18 per hour, alongside holiday entitlement.
37hrs per week FULL TIME, 15-16hrs per week PART TIME, rota based including evenings & weekends
Responsibilities
* Carry out poolside duties for main pool, learner pool, leisure pool and associated areas in accordance with the centre's Normal Operation Procedure (NOP) and Emergency Action Plan (EAP) or as directed by the Senior Leisure Attendant.
* Erect and dismantle equipment and prepare areas for special events and activities, assisting at events, functions and activities as required.
* Supervise changing/shower rooms and other parts of the centre as directed by the Senior Leisure Attendant, including outdoor areas.
* Undertake and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the centre and its surrounding grounds in accordance with the centres Cleaning Work Instructions. This includes the use of appropriate protective clothing, mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment.
* Complete all documentation pertaining to the post ensuring accurate details are recorded in case a court appearance may be requested i.e. safety checks, toilet check sheets, daily cleaning schedule, accident and incident report forms etc keeping the Senior Attendant informed of any findings.
* Collect user tickets from customers for the use of facilities and activities throughout the centre, ensuring that they have authorisation to enter the facility and should consider capacity levels and centre access policies.
* Maintain a high level of Customer Care including taking ownership of customer queries and complaints and following issues through to their completion.
* To assist in the technical aspects of the facility by actively reporting faults and undertaking minor maintenance and repairs e.g. clearing a drain, unblocking a toilet etc
* Actively participate in the centres ongoing training plan and any additional training needs identified, maintaining all relevant qualifications e.g. NPLQ, first aid etc.
* Assist with any lessons, training or coaching courses and special events when required. Including groups with special needs.
The Ideal Person
* Possession of a current lifesaving qualification, minimum National Pool Lifeguard Award.
* Ability to pass swim competency assessment.
* Be available to work evenings & weekends
