Rotherwood Healthcare is an award winning care home group, providing luxury residential, nursing and dementia care for the older generation in a family of care homes and nursing homes across the Midlands.
Lynhales Hall is set in seven acres of woodland close to the historic Herefordshire village of Lyonshall. Lynhales Hall is built around a stunning, two-storey 16th Century Manor House and is home to 65 residents.

*The Role:*
As the Nurse in charge, you will be responsible for the delivery of all clinical elements of the care provision, supervising others and setting/maintaining clinical standards within the home. Working under the guidance and direction of the Clinical Lead, you will have a strong clinical focus, playing an active role in ensuring that the medication/nursing needs of each resident are delivered effectively. Supporting the home with the expected clinical/nursing standards, promoting a high level of individualised care, ensuring all statutory and regulatory standards are maintained.
Shift times are predominantly 07.00 – 19.00 (days) or 19.00 – 07.00 (nights).
*Key Responsibilities:*
· Monitor standards of care, ensuring all staff on your shift contribute to the best of their ability.
· Ensure resident needs are being met by interaction and observation on each shift.
· Organise and facilitate GP visits as required and implement advice/guidance provided.
· Prepare, review and update resident care plans to ensure they are accurate and fit for purpose.
· Administer and manage resident medication and ensure accurate records are maintained.
· Report and incidents/accidents, areas of concern to the Home Manager & Clinical Lead.
· Ensure a clear & concise handover, highlighting priorities for the day/night ahead.
· Provide ongoing clinical support to ensure the team on your shift have the necessary skills & knowledge to provide the resident with an exceptional level of care.

*About You:*
As a RGN with a valid NMC Pin, you will have the ability to manage a small team, ensuring the safe delivery or nursing care is achieved and maintained at all times. You will lead by example and have a genuine passion for nursing care and working with the elderly. With a personable disposition, you will be comfortable leading others to achieve high standards without compromise. Experience of working in a care home environment would be an advantage but not essential as we will provide the knowledge required if you have the relevant skillset and experience and share our core values.
