Why this role matters
In this role, you will own and manage our Media Gateway platform, including capacity, network elements and operational responsibilities.
You will also ensure service is maintained across the platform.
This role included the people management of our Media Gateway team.
In addition, you will make business and operational decisions that align with overall Networks transformation, and delivery strategy.
This is an exciting opportunity and a high profile role in BT. This role will facilitate the closure of our copper voice product and will support our vulnerable customers.
Our hybrid working model means you are expected to be in the office 3 days per week.
You'll have the following responsibilities
• Manage the Media Gateway access platform, ensuring capacity requirements are met, service levels are maintained and operational stability of the platform meets KPIs.
• To ensure sufficient spares are available to meet the requirements of the media gateway platform.
• Application ownership ensuring the Media Gateway platform remains security compliant
• Working with the program team and MFUs to set up the team correctly to build the correct processes and procedures for the in life management of the Media Gateway platform.
• Own the business continuity plan for the platform.
• Create robust processes and governance to ensure the smooth operation of the platform.
• Drive process improvements
• Develop working relationships with key stakeholders.
