Description The Site Change Management and Continuous Improvement (CMCI) Manager supports, coordinates and facilitates implementation of new and improved structures, processes and activities. Working closely with EU teams and all levels of management and associates within the Sort Centre (SC), you report directly to the Regional Change Program Manager. For this role you will need to be adaptable, motivated and thrive on implementing high standard productivity and simplicity using Kaizen/PDCA methods. Curiosity and the confidence to take calculated risks quickly are core characteristics for CMCI Managers. Responsibilities - Coordinate Top-down and Bottom-up change initiatives within the Sort Centre. - Develop Continuous Improvement proposals; self-generated and from within the site. - Support, manage and validate the implementation of process changes. - Manage the Sort Centre improvement plan to focus on best customer experience at the lowest cost. - Innovate and challenge the status quo through the use of data and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. - Help drive the implementation of Lean Standard Work at all levels of the site. - Disseminate Lean Standard Work principles across teams. - Develop a culture of continuous improvement and lean thinking. - Contribute to and facilitate Kaizen activities. - Coordinate and prioritize process improvement activities and resources. - Standardize processes and actively share best practice across CI network to avoid duplication. - Analyse process performance at a process path level and identify improvements. - Liaise between SC and EU to drive leverage of cross-SC process excellence. - Maintain strong relationships with cross business line teams. Key job responsibilities - Chair the on-site CMCI Forum to review top-down and bottom-up projects and provide feedback to relevant stakeholders. - Manage the Change portfolio for the site. - Lead / support the implementation of projects within the site. - Identify and deliver improvement opportunities within the site and across the network. - Coach and mentor stakeholders in Lean Six Sigma Methodologies. - Develop and maintain a network of key stakeholder across multiple teams and business lines. A day in the life A CMCI Manager divides their time between analyzing performance metrics, conducting Gemba walks, and coordinating with stakeholders to implement both local and network-wide improvement projects. They facilitate Kaizen events, coach teams in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and manage project portfolios using Agile principles. Daily activities include participating in site DBRs/WBRs, supporting Root Cause Analysis, reviewing project progress, and ensuring effective communication between site leadership and regional teams. The role serves as a crucial bridge between strategic initiatives and operational execution within the Sort Center About the team As the CMCI Team, we are strategically positioned within each UK Sort Center, working directly alongside operational teams to drive excellence through Lean methodologies. Our role spans three key areas: Change Management, Project Implementation, and Continuous Improvement. We act as site-level gatekeepers for improvement initiatives, implementing projects through Agile methodologies while maintaining close relationships with operational teams on the ground. Through data-driven analysis and hands-on engagement, we influence positive change, eliminate waste, and implement innovative solutions within our Sort Centers. Working collaboratively with EU teams and all management levels, our mission is to make UK Sort Centers best-in-class across all operational KPIs. Basic Qualifications - Knowledge of Lean techniques such as Kaizen and/or Six Sigma methodologies. - Experience in managing multiple projects concurrently, delivered on time, on budget and at the expected level of quality. - Experience in data gathering and analysis - Previous experience in managing/influencing project teams remotely in a dynamic environment. - Experience with analytical tools such as data warehouse tables; SQL/Visual Basic. Preferred Qualifications - Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma with relevant implementation experience. - A Project Management qualification from an accredited institute. - Degree from an accredited university in business, operations or project management. - Relevant knowledge of change management and continuous improvement methodologies. - Excellent communication skills and detail orientation. - Experience within an operational environment Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
