Conservation and Heritage Officer A Local Authority in London is looking for a Conservation and Heritage Officer to join the Planning department. This would be on an initial 3-month contract with a likely extension. About The Role The client is looking for a candidate to come in and provide both written and verbal advice on the impact of development proposals, including pre-application enquires, applications, Listed Building Consents and enforcement, where they have an impact on the historic environment. The candidate would expected to use archives, heritage legislation, and conservation standards for research. Communicate with planning officers, and give advice to teams working on conservation projects. Engage and liase with Historic England. The role will be a hybrid role, with office presence required for site visits to assess historic buildings and structures. About The Candidate The ideal candidate will be chartered by RTPI, or an equivalent qualification and have 2 or more years experience as a Conservation Officer in Local Authorities.
