The Learning and Development Team is looking for an apprentice to join our team. This is an exciting role within the team and one that will be extremely rewarding for the right candidate.
This is a 17 month Fixed Term Contract. Apprenticeship roles at MKUH are Fixed Term for the duration of the training. You will be paid the apprentice rate for months 1-12, and then versus your age for months 13 to completion.
This is a fabulous opportunity to undertake a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeship whilst learning many key 'on the job' skills. Your role will often be the first point of contact for our staff, so you'll need the right interpersonal skills and a drive to deliver excellent levels of customer service. You'll need good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to build and sustain good relationships in and outside the hospital; good attention to detail and computer literacy. The Learning and Development Team manage CPD Funding, appraisals, Mandatory Training, work experience and apprenticeships. The OD arm of the team manages the internal management training, staff benefits, annual staff survey along with many other ad-hoc projects.

Main duties of the job
The Apprenticeship programme will be delivered by our external NHS approved training provider. You will take part in interactive workshops and be assigned a tutor to support you throughout the programme as well as a mentor within your team and receiving support from the MKUH Apprenticeship Team.
Working as part of a high-performing team, the role will contribute towards the successful delivery of Trust-wide developmental programmes by providing high-quality and effective administration and project support to the Organisational Development team and Head of Department. To effectively implement and manage administrative processes for staff engagement and development programmes. Support OD activities and provide project and event management support as necessary. Attend and take notes at OD and related stakeholder meetings and build good relations with colleagues across the division and trust.

Job responsibilities
Working with the OD Team to undertake the commissioning of Trust-wide OD programmes; this may include the development of tender documents, course/programme outlines, using established and new booking systems, managing nominations and applications, overseeing the application progress and process, communicating pre-course/programme information, maintaining contact through the lifetime of the course/programme, evaluation collation and recording feedback.

1. English and Maths GCSE (Grade 4/C) or equivalent
