Key Deliverables As part of a specialist team, you will: Lead technical design projects, managing calculations, drawings, and reports. Conduct on-site surveys, assessments, and feasibility studies. Develop innovative engineering solutions and research new techniques. Oversee project budgets, cost controls, and contract mechanisms. Mentor and support junior engineers, providing guidance on design and project delivery. Attend client meetings and site visits, ensuring technical excellence in all interactions. Present complex data and findings in a clear, structured, and professional manner. Use specialist software (e.g., DIgSILENT, PSSE, ETAP, IPSA, Amtech, PSCAD) for power system studies. Ensure compliance with industry standards, contract conditions, and health & safety regulations. Drive continuous improvement in design methodologies and company standards. What We're Looking For Freedom are seeking ambitious, technically skilled professionals with: Strong background in electrical engineering with experience in power system projects. Proven ability to manage projects from inception to completion, meeting time and budget constraints. Expertise in power system studies, including: Load flow & reactive power analysis Short-circuit & protection studies Arc-flash & transient stability analysis Harmonics (G5/5) & grid compliance (G99) assessments Motor-starting, insulation coordination, and LV coordination studies (BS7671) Proficiency in contract management and commercial awareness (NEC and other design/construction contracts). Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, Autodesk software, and PDF editors. Excellent report writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a collaborative, team-focused mindset. Desirable Skills & Experience: Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it). Experience mentoring or supervising junior engineers. Ability to generate new business leads and sales opportunities.
