Job Description
PE Global is recruiting a Logistics Assistant for our oil and gas client based in Aberdeen. The role is an initial 12 month contract and the rate for this role is £14.69 p/h.
Responsibilities:
* Inventory Management : Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.
* Shipping and Receiving : Coordinate the shipping and receiving of goods, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance with regulations.
* Logistics Coordination : Assist in planning and scheduling transportation for materials and equipment, optimizing routes and costs.
* Data Entry and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of logistics activities and prepare regular reports for management.
* Vendor Communication : Liaise with suppliers and vendors to track orders, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Requirements:
* Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
* Education : High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
* Technical Skills : Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members, vendors, and clients.
* Problem-Solving Abilities : Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to handle unexpected challenges and find efficient solutions.
