The
Role
We are looking for a talented and
detail-oriented Assistant Group Financial Controller to join our team at Barons
Eden.
This is a vital role within the finance
department, where you will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and
various internal departments to optimise cost-efficiency and improve overall
financial performance. You’ll be responsible for preparing financial reports,
supporting audits, and driving key initiatives that contribute to Barons Eden’s
ongoing success.

Your
Responsibilities:
* Prepare
and manage accurate financial statements to summarize the company’s financial
status.
* Handle
quarterly VAT returns and ensure compliance.
* Develop
and produce financial forecasts that aid in strategic decision-making.
* Oversee
cash flow forecasting to ensure liquidity goals are met.
* Assist
with audit preparations and ensure smooth audit processes.
* Reconcile
accounting discrepancies and resolve imbalances in a timely manner.
* Manage
and delegate tasks to junior accounting staff, ensuring efficiency and
accuracy.
* Supervise
Finance Assistants, covering their roles when needed.
* Collaborate
with senior management, preparing reports to support business decisions.
* Complete
the monthly management pack with precision and detail.
* Conduct
daily income audits, reconciling and verifying monetary transactions.
* Handle ad
hoc financial tasks and special projects as assigned.

proficiency in mathematics, accounting principles, and financial processes.
* Strong
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate
effectively across teams.

* Excellent
time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple
tasks effectively.
* Critical
thinker with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Advanced
Excel skills and experience with financial software.
* Previous
experience in a similar financial role is highly desirable.
