Outpatients Reception Supervisor - Band 4
37.5 hours - permanent
We are looking to recruit a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our busy team in providing a professional and effective Reception and clerical service for the Trusts Outpatients Service.
The Outpatient reception rota is across 7 days. Staff are required to cover shifts between the hours of 7am to 8pm Monday to Sunday, inc. Bank holidays. The successful candidate must be able to support the flexibility of the rota.
Computer literacy is essential as you will be expected to input and extract information from various Trust Patient Administrative Systems.
The successful candidate will be required to effectively supervise the Outpatient Reception Team on a daily basis ensuring that an efficient and effective support service is delivered to the Trust 7 days a week. Also, to support the OPD Assistant Directorate Manager in the day-to-day operational duties for all outpatient activity, including, planning, and circulating the weekly rota for all General Reception areas, line management of 10+ staff, day to day support within the management of staff including back to work interviews, requests for leave, allocation of workload, appraisals, 1:1's training and mentoring. Additionally, be involved in project work with support from OPD Assistant Directorate Manager.
Rota and Health roster experience is desirable as this also forms a large proportion of this role.

Please note the candidate will also need to be flexible to cross cover shifts across the 7-day rota as required.
The role requires an enthusiastic, competent and proactive individual with an appreciation and understanding of the confidential nature of the work. Able to build good working relationships and confident dealing with a range of people both internal and external to the organisation.
Also with the ability to prioritise and deliver on time against a background of changing demands whilst maintaining high standards and with accuracy and attention to detail.
Applicants should be excellent communicators; including telephone skills and have the ability to deal with the general public on a daily basis and maintain a positive approach to customer care.
