The ITS network is committed to making our extensive knowledge in third-party maintenance accessible to each of TK Elevator’s service technicians across the world, so they are equipped to provide the highest quality service and keep customers’ equipment moving.
What we expect
We are currently seeking a Field Support Engineer with technical elevator knowledge and experience of our major competitors’ products to join our pioneering team in Manchester.
As a Field Support Engineer, your day to day will include:
* Providing remote technical support to TKE field technicians across Europe, with occasional travel to give on-site support when required.
* Getting involved in research about new control systems and digital solutions.
* Assisting in the development of training simulators and product test rigs.
* Undertaking training as necessary to be at the forefront of industry and technological developments.
* Delivering training courses to field engineers from across Europe.
* Assisting with the preparation of product support content for field use.
Who we are looking for
* Proven experience working as a field support engineer.
* A subject matter expert in one or more of our major competitors’ product lines.
* Excellent communication skills: verbal, telephone, and written.
* Positive attitude, capable of working under pressure as part of a team.
* Confident in using your own initiative and proactive thinking outside of the box.
* An investigative mind-set that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for ongoing incidents.
* Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills.
* NVQ4 (or similar) qualification an advantage.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Desirable language skills, especially in French (Italian or German can also be considered).
