Starting Salary: £33,417 (Full time equivalent)
Actual Starting Salary: £29,64936 hours per week (worked over 5 days), term time including INSET days plus one additional week to be worked during school holidays. Some working out of conventional hours may be required.
We are looking to appoint an experienced person to provide support and guidance to transitioning KS4 students who are experiencing significant barriers preventing them from progressing into positive destinations and are at risk of being not in employment, education, or training (NEET) post-16.
This role will be shared between two schools within The Alternative Trust; The Limes College in Sutton and Saffron Valley Collegiate in Croydon. Therefore, it is a mandatory condition of the role that the successful applicant holds a drivers licence and has use of a vehicle. The ideal candidate will need:
Minimum GCSE grade C or equivalent in Maths and English;
Experience of working with hard to reach families and young people with complex multiple needs;
Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with the children, caregivers, school staff and other agencies;
Ability to manage a caseload of young people;
Ability to maintain accurate paper and electronic records;
An understanding of Career Guidance.
