Reporting is at an inflection point. As regulations and ambitions drive the increasing integration of sustainability information into annual reporting, we see an exciting opportunity to help businesses embrace this change in a meaningful way. Our aim is to support organisations in reporting their full impact, considering both financial and non-financial outcomes, and presenting this information with transparency, context, and meaning. Crucially, we also see this as a pivotal moment to critically assess the role of reporting as a lever for business transformation. Radley Yeldar has a decades-long legacy in delivering annual reporting, and sustainability reporting, strategy and communications for some of the world’s largest organisations across an array of fascinating sectors. We are building on this legacy with the creation of this new role. We are looking for a bright, energetic and critical thinker to act as a sparring partner with our sustainability and annual reporting teams, to think outside the box and help clients make the reporting regulation count for more than compliance. In this role, you’ll leverage a unique blend of technical know-how, strategic vision, and creative storytelling to lead the development of integrated reporting strategies for some of our most complex and high-profile clients, while driving more joined up thinking across our work, and strengthening our market position. Collaborating with designers, project managers, and strategists across the agency, you’ll ensure businesses effectively communicate both their financial and non-financial performance and impact. In doing so, you’ll play a vital role in advancing RY’s vision: to create a world that believes in business. Remit and responsibilities Help define the future of reporting. Working closely with the sustainability and annual reporting strategists, you’ll continually develop and hone our thinking around the future of reporting, and how to make sure the regulations count for more than disclosure. Lead on insightful integrated reporting programmes. You’ll act as a lead strategist on client accounts to deliver insightful, rigorous and engaging integrated reporting across a range of channels. Balancing technical knowledge with creative flair and compelling storytelling, your work will span the entire reporting lifecycle, from setting the direction inspired by the latest reporting developments and themes, to defining the content strategy, advising on appropriate standards and frameworks, interviewing stakeholders, and partnering with copywriters and creatives to bring it all to life. You’ll also apply your thinking to support with dedicated sustainability reporting clients, too. Support clients’ alignment with key frameworks. You’ll work with analysts and strategists to help clients prepare for and align with key reporting and sustainability frameworks, standards and regulations (such as ESRS, ISSB, GRI, TCFD and PAI) through gap analysis, benchmarking, value chain mapping and identification of relevant disclosure requirements. You’ll stay abreast of the changes within the regulatory landscape, sharing your knowledge internally and upskilling the wider team. Pitch to win. You’ll lead on delivering impactful and highly communicative proposals, pitches and new business meetings, working with teams of project managers, creatives and business development partners to win work with new clients and grow existing accounts. Raise our profile. Naturally curious and entrepreneurial, you’ll proactively come up with inspiring ideas and unique points of view, and develop content for thought leadership and marketing material. You’ll draw upon your extensive network, building relationships and speaking at events to champion our thinking. Build integrated reporting knowledge internally. You’ll help upskill the broader RY team around integrated reporting topics, running integrated reporting sessions and training for colleagues in other functions, e.g. employee experience, brand, digital, film. Requirements Crucially, you’re a strategic thinker, going far beyond ‘tick-box’ approaches to comply with regulations, and instead, asking ‘so what?’. What does this mean for business? For this particular client? For the future of reporting? You’re totally up to speed with the rapidly evolving landscape of sustainability and ESG frameworks, and have a solid working knowledge of CSRD/ESRS and ISSB, with demonstrable experience applying these standards with clients. You’re also familiar with the regulations associated with annual reporting, particularly in the UK, for example the new UK Corporate Governance Code and Section 172 statement. You have bucketloads of experience advising on and developing clients’ integrated, sustainability (and ESG), and annual reporting, from first timers to those leading the pack. You’re an entrepreneurial, ideas-driven person with the drive to see them through. Preferably, you have a background in the agency or consultancy space and you thrive in a buzzy, collaborative environment. A master storyteller, you bring a perfect blend of technical expertise and communications flair, allowing you to understand and translate complex information and data into compelling communications. Importantly, you’re familiar with communications strategy and creative process, and can unearth a brilliant insight and develop a solid strategy, acting as a springboard for the best creative ideas. You’re a leading voice in successful pitches, you’re comfortable engaging very senior clients, and you create progressive, engaging, and thought-provoking content. Commercially astute, you’re adept at identifying and implementing commercial actions that aid the maintenance and growth of RY. Adept at multi-tasking and juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, you’re comfortable in chaos and work effectively under pressure. You set the bar for high quality work, with a reputation for delivering excellence at all times. If you’re looking for a dynamic and rewarding career in a buzzing consultancy team, working with some of the world’s biggest organisations to progress holistic reporting, we’d love to hear from you. Please include a cover letter with your application outlining why you'd love to work for RY (not because we’re old fashioned and want to create more work for you, but because we’re looking for a sense of your creativity and communications style). RY embraces diversity and equal opportunity. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be
