As a Service Manager, you will effectively and efficiently manage the delivery of high-quality care and support services in North Lincolnshire, ensuring that Care Workers are matched to the needs of our Service Users in a geographical area.
Job Overview:
* To provide effective management and leadership to care staff.
* To provide care in accordance with current best practices, according to Policy and Procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations, under the direction of the Registered Manager.
* To supervise the care delivery within the service.
* To maintain skills at a current level and undertake such training and development as may from time to time be required to maintain practices as up to date.
Your daily duties will be to:
* Ensure that Care Worker rotas are organised, correctly matched to Service Users’ needs and well-planned, considering travelling time, holiday cover and last-minute amendments.
* Provide insight into developing, implementing, and executing a successful Operational care and support practice.
* Responsible for resourcing and responding to requests for new care packages and building on existing packages.
* Improving and maintaining the continuity of care for new and existing care packages.
* Maintain clear, accurate, appropriate, and up-to-date written and electronic records for all Service Users and Care Workers within your area, using our bespoke electronic system.
* Responsible for cordially resolving customer queries in a timely manner to maintain positive outcomes for service users and the Company reputation.
* Ensure all operations are Company, Commissioning and CQC Compliant.
* Help develop the company’s Care Worker Community.
* Arrange training, supervision and performance appraisals as required.
* Contribute to the growth and service expansion targets set by the business.
* Develop effective working relationships with other employees.
* Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for service users.
* Ensure that Service Users are at the heart of the care delivery and their wishes and preferences enhance their well-being.
* To ensure that all staff contribute to the efficient running of the organisation and supervise staff.
* To organise and coordinate care delivery in accordance with current best practices, according to policy and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, and relevant regulations under the direction of the Manager and within the financial plans.
* Ensure that the care service is delivered to Service Users at the times and for the duration specified in the relevant individual agreement(s) and contract standards.
* Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support.
* To take an active role in the on-call duty system on a rota basis.
Who are we looking for?
* Ideally NVQ/QCF level 3 in Health and Social Care.
* Ideally at least 2 years’ experience working as a Care Supervisor or Care Manager for a Domiciliary Care Provider.
* Knowledge of CQC Compliance.
* Ideally experienced in conducting care assessments, care reviews and being able to motivate care staff.
* Organised, methodical, and a good eye for detail.
* Flexible around working schedules, roles, and responsibility as it is a fast growing start up environment.
* A team player.
