Hawkstone is an exciting, dynamic start-up that was recently recognised as one of the fastest growing businesses in the UK by The Times. They are on a mission to bring premium beer and cider from the Cotswolds to UK consumers (and hopefully beyond). They are rapidly expanding their product range, brand recognition and customer base.
T&Pm has been working with Hawkstone for over a year with a dedicated team working across all of their marketing functions and we are looking to expand this team - that’s where you come in!
We need an experienced Customer Data Manager to design, implement, and optimise data processes across both B2B and B2C platforms. The key objective is to ensure our marketing data is of the highest quality, seamlessly integrated with our marketing systems, and leveraged to deliver personalized customer experiences. This role is critical in driving data-driven decision-making and supporting our growth objectives through enhanced customer engagement and retention strategies.
The marketing team is based in London, while the Hawkstone HQ is in the Cotswolds. You’ll be working with a small dynamic team of entrepreneurially minded individuals - including a marketing Platform Product Manager (Klaviyo), a CRM Campaign Manager and a passionate email creative team - and work closely with the Commercial team and experienced data analysts.
You’ll have a lot of autonomy, and ownership of the end-to-end data management process, as well as managing third party agencies to ensure GDPR compliance and contribute to our B2B data and lead management strategy to drive higher levels of effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own customer (including CRM, both consumer and trade) databases, customer data warehouse and dashboards driving customer insights
2. Manage all data platforms and agency feeds, ensuring accuracy and seamless functionality
3. Define and lead the strategic use of data to enhance engagement and revenue growth, including via our subscription & loyalty propositions
4. Leverage 1st-party data and customer segmentation for impactful marketing insights and reporting
5. Drive 1st-party data acquisition strategies and ensure data accessibility in collaboration with the Platform Product Lead
6. Identify opportunities to apply AI and machine learning for personalization and improved targeting within CRM (Klaviyo)
7. Optimize data usage to enhance B2B lead booking and conversion processes
8. Establish measurement frameworks to track CRM performance and KPIs effectively
9. Automate reporting to monitor purchase growth, campaign performance, segment value migration, and customer loyalty
Skills and Experience
1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level in a STEM subject (Data Science, Economics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics) or equivalent quantitative subject area or business-based discipline
2. Experience in a database manager role for a consumer brand, ideally in FMCG (especially alcohol) and/or high growth start-ups

7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate reporting to stakeholders of all levels
8. Comfortable working in the fast-paced nature of a start-up alcohol brand, including the ability to work flexibly, and at times under pressure, to meet deadlines and priorities
