Our Opportunity
We are looking for a Team Leader to support the APRU Manager in driving delivery and ensuring that production/repair items are progressed efficiently.
Some of the key responsibilities for this role are detailed below:
* Ensure workplace management is adhered to for areas covered.
* Support the APRU in resolution of problems to achieving Quality Cost Delivery (QCD) requirements and escalation where required.
* Encourage teams to identify and implement improvements using lean methodology.
* Contribute to the generation of estimates for new build and repairs.
* Recruit, lead, develop, encourage and support the team.
* Point of contact for capturing process/paperwork issues and education of process with team.
* Responsible for managing the performance of the team, particularly initial discussions with transition to APRU manager as appropriate / necessary.
About You
We are looking for an organised individual with experience of successfully managing teams in a manufacturing environment. Someone with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and someone with the ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
In addition to this:
* Initiative to define and implement improvement activities.
* Build relationships across industry and the wider business.
* Attention to detail and ability to ensure all work is carried out accurately and conscientiously within quality and governance.
* An understanding of MRP/PDM system principles would be advantageous.
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant will undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance.
To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years. In some circumstances, a minimum of 3 years’ residence in the UK over the last 5 years may be accepted, with additional overseas checks.
