Corporate Accounts Assistant

As part of our expansion, we're excited to offer a new opportunity for a Corporate Accounts Assistant to join our team in the office. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis (18-22 hours per week, ideally between 9:00am to 2:30pm). If part-time, there is flexibility around the core working hours.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing a small portfolio of dormant accounts and ensuring timely completion to deadlines
2. Preparing and reviewing non-complex small company accounts and Corporation Tax returns
3. Drafting more complex small company accounts for senior review
4. Assisting with basic dividend planning
5. Drafting basic partnership and non-resident company tax returns for review prior to submission
6. Assisting with bookkeeping using accounting software (Xero) and updating client records
7. Providing information to internal tax teams (both UK and international) on clients' corporate positions

Qualifications
You will be AAT Level 3/4 or ACCA/ACA Part-Qualified. Experience preparing company accounts using accounting software is required. A preference for a University degree (minimum 2:1) or at least 3 A-Levels (A, B, B or above) or equivalent.
Skills:
Necessary:
1. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
2. Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
3. Positive, confident, and professional approach
4. Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel, with the ability to quickly pick up new IT packages
5. Strong attention to detail
Desirable:
1. Knowledge of VAT, basic LLP accounts, or experience with international clients
2. Familiarity with Xero (training will be provided)
