Job Title: Acute Occupational Therapist Banding : Band 7 Location : Great Yarmouth, Suffolk Working Hours: 37.5 per week Rate : Competitive, to be discussed upon application An exciting opportunity has become available for a Band 7 Occupational Therapist to work for our NHS client based in Great Yarmouth, Suffolk. The post is available to start as soon as possible, offering full-time hours for a short-term contract. What will your responsibilities be? As an Acute Band 7 Occupational Therapist, the primary responsibility is to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients within the acute healthcare setting. This involves assessing, planning, and delivering personalised rehabilitation plans to individuals with a variety of physical, mental, and emotional health conditions. The role includes working closely with multidisciplinary teams to support the recovery and discharge process, ensuring that patients are provided with the necessary tools, adaptations, and support to maximise their independence. The therapist will also be responsible for supervising junior staff, providing education and training, and participating in service development activities. Additionally, the post-holder will contribute to clinical audits and research, ensuring evidence-based practices are integrated into patient care. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a strong focus on patient-centred care, working to optimise outcomes through effective communication, collaboration, and the promotion of wellbeing. Qualifications and Experiences: Must hold a Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent HCPC registration Experience with an acute hospital setting How to apply?
