This is a new role and will spearhead a project risk focus across the business unit with the aim to raise our risk maturity level to a level 4 in the APM Risk Maturity Scale. This is a dynamic role that provides active involvement as well as reporting on project risks to senior leadership.

Key duties
* You will implement and aid to develop a strategy to raise our risk maturity level to a level 4 in the APM Risk Maturity Scale.
* You will be responsible for creating and presenting monthly risk reports to senior leadership and reporting meetings.
* As a subject matter expert, you will support and offer guidance and assistance to project teams during the risk process. The focus is on identifying and managing risks that may impact the achievement of key project objectives and ensuring timely escalation of any identified risks.
* To provide expert guidance to Project Directors and leaders, ensuring the development of risk mitigation action plans and opportunity plans. To review risk and collaborate with action owners to ensure project plans are updated and monitored to minimize risk exposure.
* To provide feedback on the sufficiency of contingency measures during the regular reporting cycle, as required.
* As a coach and mentor, you will share knowledge and expertise with project leaderships. This will involve facilitating and conducting risk workshops as appropriate.
Your skills and experience
* With a demonstrated history as a Project Risk Manager in a design engineering environment, you will ensure your expertise is well-recognised and directly applicable to our diverse portfolio of large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.
* Extensive experience in applying Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA) to assess cost, schedule, and carbon factors.
* Demonstrated expertise in multi-disciplinary design, infrastructure, and complex project procurement.
* Possesses excellent attention to detail and the ability to validate and review risk management inputs, records, and generated reports, along with providing basic commentary and analysis.
* Excellent research and analytical skills.
* Conversant in risk and project management-based software (eg: MS Project).
* Holds a degree in risk, project management, engineering, mathematics, or related disciplines within the construction, programme, project, or commercial management disciplines.
* Professional Membership with an applicable professional organisation.
