We have an opportunity for a Consultant Anaesthetist to join their team of staff in the Theatre department. This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Applicants should meet the following criteria: UK registered Medical Degree. Past record of FRCA academic achievement Full and Specialist GMC Registration in relevant speciality Higher degree Intensive Care accreditation Teaching qualification Experience in training medical trainees and other professionals Duties of this role include: The successful applicant will be expected to comply with all relevant Circle policies relating to administration of patient care. This includes working to set timescales for the treatment of patients, completion of appropriate documentation including management of postoperative analgesia. Consultants are also expected to work with other partners, clinical unit managers, nurses and consultant colleagues to manage their caseload in a flexible way, to ensure clinical, national and local priorities are achieved. The successful appointee is expected to play a full role in the delivery of the Hospital Governance agenda. The job plan will be adjusted to fulfil the interests of the successful candidate; however the successful candidates will be expected to deliver a minimum of 26.5hrs in theatres and pre-operative assessment with the remaining hours allocated subjected to ongoing job planning consisting of theatre lists or SPA work subject to mutual agreement.
