This is your chance to become a vital part of the team responsible for developing and tendering for locally commissioned pharmacy services and Hospital schemes. Your role will be to create a compelling case for the services we offer to our customers, ensuring that pharmacy is at the heart of our business. The NHS faces increasing financial pressure and reform is required to move services away from secondary care settings into communities. This ensures that care can be delivered closer to patient’s homes whilst also affording savings to the NHS. You’ll get to work with several different functions across the business, so the ability to partner and work collaboratively is essential for this role. This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful team that will shape how Boots supports both the NHS and Hospital Pharmacy Outpatient Dispensing market with its customer proposition. Work closely with the team to identify tender opportunities and support the field teams in responding to these. Manage entire tender process, ensuring a timely completion of all required steps through to contract award. Identify, create and enhance tender content – maintaining a library of non-clinical and clinical information Understand clinical guidance and translate this into appropriate care pathways and service offers. Understand customer requirements and then use your expertise and commercial awareness to develop innovative service solutions, building financial models and present these in tender documents or to senior leaders for approval. Work closely with colleagues in other parts of the business, both Pharmacy and non-Pharmacy teams such as our Finance team, Property & Estates team, Legal team, Learning and Development team, Pharmacy Operations team, Boots Healthcare Logistics team and the Superintendent Pharmacist’s Office. Build and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders both internal and external. What you’ll need to have You will have experience of working within the pharmacy or healthcare sector. You will have a keen eye for detail and ensure that your work stream is managed with pace and on time. You will be happy with ambiguity – as some projects can change quickly. You will be able to demonstrate experience of using strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills You will be comfortable in exploring the facts and be able to make complex ideas simple for others and make recommendations for resolving issues. You will understand the external market and commissioners and have the bigger picture in mind.
