Main duties of the job
The post holder should have experience within administration, some of which in a project environment and have knowledge of project management processes. The ability to communicate effectively, and build rapport and effective relationships at all levels is essential. They must have high standards of written English, punctuation, and grammar along with good communication (written and verbal) and I.T. skills.

Job responsibilities
The ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects with frequent switching between tasks as part of day-to-day work is essential. The work of the team is interesting and varied, and cuts across a large range of Clinical Programmes. It involves working closely with Project Managers, Programme Managers, Service Improvement Leads, and others across the programme teams.
The Project Support Officer is a key contributor to the success of the team; providing high-quality project and programme support with the ability to work on their own initiative with an open-minded, versatile approach. Must be willing to offer flexibility with regards to occasional early and late working hours.

Qualifications

* Intermediate knowledge of IT systems and software programmes such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
* Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act.
* Ability to demonstrate how work contributes to the delivery of projects.
* Experience of organising and administering meetings including minute taking.
* Knowledge of NHS issues.
* Experience of working on projects.
* Previous experience of working in the NHS.
