The School is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to support students 1:1 and in small groups. This is a full-time role and will be with a view to going permanent.

About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs. As a Health Care Assistant, you will play an essential role in supporting our students' health and wellbeing, working alongside teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide personal care support to students, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and independence are upheld.
2. Assist with feeding, dressing, mobility, and other daily care tasks as required.
3. Monitor students' health needs and assist with the administration of medication, in line with school policies.
4. Work closely with teaching and therapeutic staff to support individual learning and care plans.
5. Build positive, trusting relationships with students, promoting an inclusive and nurturing environment.
6. Maintain accurate health records, adhering to confidentiality and safeguarding policies at all times.
7. Be prepared to respond to emergencies, following the school's health and safety procedures.
Essential Requirements:
1. Previous experience in a Health Care Assistant or similar role, preferably within an SEN, education, or healthcare setting.
2. Basic First Aid qualification (or a willingness to complete training).
3. Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
Desirable:
1. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
2. Experience with students who have physical disabilities, learning disabilities, or medical needs.
3. Knowledge of handling and mobility equipment.
