Carers Day Shift x 2 (permanent)
The current rate of pay for Carers on the day shift is £12.32 plus £1.42 Distant Islands Allowance per hour.
A full-time role is up to 39 hours per week, rostered over 5 days (including weekend working). We are looking for two permanent full-time carers for the day shift. However, Leverburgh Care Home is a flexible employer and we are willing to consider all applications, including flexible working patterns and part-time hours.
Job Description
Leverburgh Care Home is a 24-hour Residential Care Home and currently supports 15 elderly residents, some of whom have dementia and related illnesses. We promote independence and ensure service users are at the heart of care delivery and their wishes and preferences to enhance their well-being.
We are looking to recruit carers to work on the day shift and night shift to join our enthusiastic team. We are looking for people who are flexible in their approach and sensitive to the caring needs of our elderly residents. You must enjoy the company of older people and be respectful at all times.
Previous experience as a Carer is desirable, but not essential, as full training can be provided.
Successful applicants must be PVG registered before commencement of the role. Additionally, successful applicants will be registered with SSSC and work within their Code of Practice. Carers will commit to continuous professional development, including completion of SVQ Level 2 in Social Care.
