You should have a meticulous approach to work and excellent communication skills to support our team of existing Medical Secretarial and administrative team.

Main duties of the job
To provide a support medical secretarial service within the Acute Medicine Department. To undertake accurate audio/copy typing of medical correspondence and general administration for the Consultants and their teams. This will include highly sensitive and complex medical terminology with a need for confidentiality. To work collaboratively with Medical Secretary colleagues to ensure clinical correspondence is produced and distributed within acceptable timeframes. It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role.

1. GSCE or equivalent at Grade C or above in Maths and English Language.
2. OCR/RSA II Typing or equivalent.
3. Medical Typing/ Transcription Audio
4. NHS database / systems experience
