Main purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business:
We are looking for an experienced Workday Product Manager to help shape our future product offerings on the Workday platform.
You will build new products and help to develop new ideas based on your Workday and industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You will lead product development for one or more new products. To do this you will possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality. You will have significant Workday experience and knowledge of the entire HCM stack. You will spend significant amount of time in the market to understand their problems and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
You must be able to communicate across all roles within the Workday business unit. You will work with business analysts from the development team to define release requirements. You will work with product marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers.
You will be responsible for:
* The Kainos Product Roadmap across multiple functional areas, which will include: analysis of market needs, building solutions to address market problems and launching features and modules with the support of the product marketing team.
* Capturing and articulating requirements from the market: prospects, existing customers, sales team, professional services teams or internal subject matter experts.
* Sustaining relationships with technology partners.
* Demonstrating a clear understanding of release acceptance criteria for each product feature, including the criteria for the minimal viable product.
* Working closely with business analysts and product development leads/architects to advance functional and non-functional aspects of the product.
* Identifying and measuring the success criteria for each delivered feature.
* Running beta and early adopter programs with customers/development partners.
Minimum (essential) requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a Product Owner/Product Manager analyzing, building, marketing, pricing and launching software products in an agile software environment.
* Several years of experience working in Workday ecosystem.
* Deep functional knowledge of Workday HCM Products (across multiple SKU incl. HCM, Recruitment, Compensation, Benefits and others).
* Relevant commercial experience.
* Experience running beta and early adopter programs with customers/development partners.
* A proven track record of working closely with business analysts and product development leads/architects to advance functional and non-functional aspects of the product.
* The ability to facilitate team meetings and group conversations.
* Excellent communication skills are vital. You’ll need to be a persuasive and effective communicator with strong negotiating skills. It’s not only about talking, you’ll need to be able to listen, understand, and build on others’ viewpoints.
* You will need an eye for detail, particularly to interpret supplied information and understand sources and challenge where necessary.
* A good understanding of technology, digital services and trends.
Desirable:
* Flexibility to travel regularly to customer and partner locations worldwide.
* Knowledge of Workday FIN.
* Delivery Management experience.

Your role will include managing people with your responsibilities to include:
* Agreeing, setting and reviewing your and your team’s goals aligned to Kainos, Workday practice and your Capability.
* Providing support so that your and your team’s goals can be achieved.
* Reviewing and refining goals for relevance and to keep performance on track.
* Reviewing performance against goals and providing feedback.
* Conducting 1:1 monthly and/or project completion feedback meetings.
* Requesting and providing regular feedback in Workday.
* Completing End of Year reviews and agreeing the outcomes for the year.
* Identifying training to support your and your team’s development.
* Pursuing and supporting you and your team members’ career paths and progression.
* Reviewing weekly workload forecasting (staff allocations and timesheet checks) and utilization.
* Actively being involved in recruitment/interviews.
* Reviewing attrition and retention metrics.
