SEN Teaching Assistants Needed – Secondary Schools in Wigan Our client secondary schools in Wigan are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with additional needs and ensure inclusive learning environments. Key Details: Immediate Start available for flexible, part-time, or full-time roles. Earn £84 - £100 per day, depending on experience and responsibilities. Opportunities to work between 2-5 days per week, tailored to your availability. Gain experience across a range of schools in the Wigan area, including those with strong SEN provisions. Your Role: Supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in both one-to-one and group settings. Assisting class teachers with adapting lesson materials to meet diverse learning needs. Managing behaviour and providing emotional support to ensure a positive learning environment. Collaborating with SENCOs and senior staff to implement Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs). Using your skills and initiative to help students develop confidence and achieve their potential. Requirements: Prior experience working with children or young people with SEN, ideally in a secondary school setting. Relevant qualifications or training in supporting SEN (e.g., CACHE, Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent). A passion for education and an understanding of the challenges faced by students with additional needs. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to varying classroom environments.
