The Senior Contract Manager will be the Trust lead and subject matter expert relating to our contracts for healthcare provision and leading the day to day relationship with key commissioning members. The post holder will manage our contracts team providing support to the Head of Income, Productivity and Contracts as well as the Chief/Deputy Chief Financial Officer. The main focus is the contract portfolio, however as part of the wider Income, Productivity and Contracts team they will provide peer support to the Income (of which a fundamental understanding is required) and Service Level Reporting Team. The Senior Contract Manager will work with service leads and commissions when new services are being implemented to ensure the contractual implications are understood and appropriately actioned. In a similar way, they will act as a first point of contact for commissioning issues raised to or by the Trust services. Contracting Trust lead on contract with Local ICS (Sussex), with an annual contract value of £475m. Oversee the work of the Contract Team, with responsibilities for NHS England contracts, other commissioner contracts, and Provider to Provider contracts Through the Contracting and Income teams the post holder coordinates the process to resolve all contract queries and disputes with commissioners and the process to ensure a prompt and fair settlement is received. Assessing the impact of emerging local, regional and national strategic contracts issues on the Trust and working with colleagues and partner organisations to coordinate and implement local strategies and policies.
