Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer required for a well-established manufacturer of special purpose machinery based in the Bournemouth area. In support of continual growth, they are seeking an enthusiastic Gradate Design Engineer to join the team.
The successful Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer will be degree qualified in an engineering field of study and ideally have had an industrial placement year during their studies (not essential). Proficiency in the use of 3D CAD software Solidworks is essential.
Graduate Design Engineer Position Overview
1. Overseeing the development of products from conceptual drawing stage right through to design for manufacture.
2. Creating drawings via 3D CAD of equipment to customer specifications.
3. Producing Bill of Materials.
4. Liaising closely with other members of the design and manufacture team. This may also include suppliers. Assist in request for quotations by providing cost estimations.
5. Working on making improvements and adjustments to existing systems-identifying potential faults that may cause breakdowns and rectifying them.
Graduate Design Engineer Position Requirements
6. The successful candidate will hold a degree qualification in a Mechanical Engineering field of study.
7. Advantageous: An industrial placement year working with design / engineering is desirable
8. Proficiency with the use of 3D CAD software Solidworks is essential
9. Based in a commutable distance of Bournemouth
Graduate Design Engineer Position Remuneration
10. Starting salary £24,000 - £28,000
11. Monday to Friday, full-time, permanent position
