The post holder will be caring and compassionate and have a good nature to work within our frailty wards, be able to work with patients living with dementia and delirium. Be willing to provide support by ensuring that our service users are safe whilst promoting their dignity. As directed, to record routine observations of blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate and blood glucose when needed. Report any abnormalities and concerns to a registered nurse Recognise when patients are in pain and discomfort and report to the nurse in charge Provide reassurance and support to patients, carers and family Ensure own actions help to maintain quality To respond to patient requests for non-clinical information to improve communication Establish and maintain communication with people on routine and operational matters To act always in a manner which promotes positive working relationships and maintains the professional image of the Trust Under supervision the post holder is responsible
for carrying out assigned tasks as part of the clinical team in support of registered nurses, and to undertake some aspects of care provision under supervision. Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of service users, always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights, through the adoption of persons centred care principles.
