Outdoors Holidays Operation Assistant - Sheffield Summary We are looking for a Campsite and Bunkhouse Assistant. Day to day, you will support the delivery of an enjoyable outdoor holidays experience for our visitors. Salary : 16,878 per annum, / 11.64 per hour. (FTE 22,698 per annum). Hours/ working pattern: 1450 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. This is our anticipated salary from 1st April but is subject to final confirmation following the Trust’s annual pay review process. What it's like to work here You’ll be based at Upper Booth campsite, located in the beautiful Edale valley. At Upper Booth we manage a busy medium-sized campsite with a small retail offer. You’ll also be required to support Bunkhouse based locally to the campsite. Travel will be required occasionally. We are a small team of experienced and dedicated people based at Upper Booth Campsite, but with national support of people in similar roles. You’ll be reporting to the Holidays Operations Manager who manages the outdoor holidays portfolio across Wales and the Peak District. Your role will be to support the Holidays Operations Assistant Manager for the Peak District at Upper Booth. You’ll be a part of a dynamic team making sure that all of our guests at Upper Booth campsite and Dalehead Bunkhouse have a warm welcome and fantastic stay with us. In the Trust, there is always room for training and development, and it is no different in this role. As the Outdoor Holidays portfolio grows, there will be opportunities for you to grow along side. What you'll be doing We are looking for a flexible addition to our team at Upper Booth Campsite, Dalehead Bunkhouse and Ilam Bunkhouse. You will be working full time in July and August, then less in the shoulder seasons, and then two days a week in the winter. Hours are flexible and can be discussed at point of interview. Weekend work will be required at times, but weekends will be shared out equally with other team members. Your focus will be on providing great service to everyone who chooses to stay at Upper Booth Campsite. You want them all to have a very happy holiday. You’ll be answering their questions, following our usual procedures, and working with the local Trust teams as well as Contact Centre staff to make sure we’re being consistent and keeping standards high everywhere. Sometimes you’ll be working a desk, sometimes cleaning campsite toilets and everything in between in order to keep the campsite and bunkhouses operating to a high standard. Sometimes you’ll be required to visit other sites in the Peak District, some of which may be remote. There will be occasional weekend work.
