Our client, a well-established insurance broker, is seeking an experienced insurance professional to join their team in Stourbridge. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong insurer relationships, a solid background in risk placement, and the technical expertise to handle complex cases across multiple commercial lines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining insurer relationships, negotiating terms, and ensuring risks are placed effectively at competitive rates. They will oversee client documentation, prepare detailed market submissions, and handle insurer queries. Additionally, they will support colleagues with broking challenges and contribute to strategic team objectives.
A strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance is essential, with experience across property, casualty, and liability risks. The ideal candidate will be a quick thinker who can confidently assess risks and leverage their market connections to place whatever risk is put in front of them. A deep understanding of insurer markets, regulatory requirements, and industry frameworks is crucial. Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a hybrid work model, requiring three days per week in the office.
