Maintenance & Cleaning Operative, Stoke to £23,300
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Maintenance and Cleaning Operative to join one of the world leading leisure and manufacturing brands. They are looking for a Maintenance and Cleaning Operative to take care of their facilities and carry out cleaning and maintenance duties.
Responsibilities
1. Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment.
2. Performing preventative maintenance.
3. Carry out heavy cleansing tasks (Floor buffing).
4. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.
5. Carrying out maintenance tasks such as replacing displaced toilet seats, unclogging sinks.
6. Perform general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include painting, repairing doors and other building fixtures.
7. Changing light bulbs and ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order.
8. Minor plumbing and carpentry.
9. Clearing or cleaning general areas.
10. Shifting furniture or equipment.
11. Make adjustments and minor repairs.
12. Cooperate with the rest of the staff and provide assistance to co-workers when needed.
13. Follow all health and safety regulations.
14. Perform additional duties as needed.
15. Adhere to company policies.
16. Maintain complete records of daily maintenance activities.
Requirements and Skills
1. Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
2. Proven maintenance experience.
3. Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
4. Ability to take apart machines, equipment, or devices to remove and replace defective parts.
5. Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches.
6. Experience performing routine maintenance.
7. Own car and driving license.
8. Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
9. Eye for detail.
10. Professional presentation and attitude.
11. Ability to maintain focus while working individually.
12. Strong time management skills.
