Overall Purpose of the Role Your role will be to work collectively as part of a wider team of payroll professionals, supporting the ongoing delivery of our clients weekly and monthly payrolls, by inputting payroll data and updating payroll records, working to weekly and monthly deadlines. Your attention to accuracy and detail, whilst carrying out your role, will work towards ensuring all employees on our payrolls, are paid accurately and on time. Key Responsibilities are: To maintain and implement personal development goals, as agreed with your Team Manager, including mandatory training. To maintain knowledge of team KPIs and SLAs. To contribute, as part of a team, towards the achievement of departmental goals. To gain and maintain an in-depth knowledge of contractual policies and statutory payment regulations, ensuring adherence to both. To deliver a quality and speed of service that meets the expectations of all customers and clients. To deliver customer requirements in line with documented procedures. To utilise your excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. To create/update and maintain employee payroll records, in accordance with inbound client instruction To address employee payroll queries via both email and telephone. Personal Specification Essential Qualifications/Professional Training Numerate and literate, with excellent accuracy and attention to detail; educated to minimum Grade C GCSE (or equivalent) standard in Mathematics and English Language. Skills and Expertise Computer literate Attention to detail/accuracy Experience in MS Office, Word, Excel and Email Ability to demonstrate effective communication both verbally and in writing; in a professional and business-like manner Desirable Skills and Expertise Payroll experience and/or administration experience Experience of working within NHS/ESR payroll system Experience in a customer focused, SLA driven service Some benefits of working for us: Competitive Salary.
