Behaviour Mentor
Location: Wandsworth (SW18)
Hours: Full-Time, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay rate: £105-£115 per day
Start Date: April 2025, after Easter half-term
Long Term Futures is working with a supportive and forward-thinking primary school in Wandsworth (SW18) to appoint a confident and proactive Behaviour Mentor to join their pastoral support team. This is a full-time position, perfect for someone with experience supporting children with behaviour needs in a primary setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group behaviour support for pupils across KS1 and KS2
Support students with challenging behaviour, emotional regulation needs, and low engagement
Work alongside class teachers to promote a calm and structured classroom environment
Monitor and track behaviour incidents and share regular feedback with SLT and parents
Deliver targeted behaviour and social-emotional interventions in and out of lessons
Support transitions between lessons, break/lunch times, and provide supervision as required
Help implement behaviour plans, rewards systems, and de-escalation strategiesIdeal Candidate:
Experience supporting behaviour in a primary school or youth work setting
Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and positive reinforcement
Able to build trusting relationships with pupils while maintaining professional boundaries
Familiarity with supporting SEMH and SEND needs in younger learners
