NI Chamber is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its award-winning team.
The role of the Business Development Manager includes the recruitment, retention, and engagement of members across the NI business community through effectively presenting the benefits of membership and consistently delivering a high level of service that optimises customer satisfaction. You will also be involved in selling other services promoted by NI Chamber such as sponsorship, exhibition space, and Ezine services.
Duties
1. Plan and deliver professional sales activity, identifying and contacting prospective clients to achieve monthly and annual targets.
2. Manage the allocated portfolio of clients, increasing engagement and retention levels.
3. Monitor personal financial and volume performance, tracking progress against sales targets and providing regular updates to the Senior Business Development Manager.
4. Engage with potential clients via site visits and digitally to ensure that senior management understands the services provided.
5. Work closely with the marketing team to plan marketing/promotional and digital campaigns which aid recruitment, retention, and engagement.
6. Proactively work with the events team to attend and facilitate events relevant to specific clients in specific regions.
7. Deliver opportunities for clients through online channels and events and proactively seek to develop new opportunities.
8. Develop in-depth knowledge of clients, identifying those that could benefit from specific services such as networking, learning, policy, export, or promotion and liaising with colleagues who can provide such support.
9. Identify potential opportunities for clients to ensure the right level of service.
Minimum Requirements
1. Minimum 4 years’ experience in a customer-facing Business to Business (B2B) environment.
2. Customer focused, with an ability to build strong business relationships and evidence of a well-developed business network.
3. Personable, professional with high levels of integrity and credibility.
4. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills and IT literacy with a working knowledge of CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
5. Minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent.
6. Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, at grade C or above, including English and Maths.
7. Educated to degree level or equivalent.
8. Professional sales qualification or certified training.
9. Experience of Hubspot or Microsoft Dynamics Software.
