Your role
Are you interested in working in a dynamic trading environment, where every day is different? Are you an experienced telesales professional? Do you have an interest in sustainable agriculture? We have an exciting opportunity at Circular Nutrition for an Assistant Trader to join our Shepshed team. You will have trading responsibility for co-products from our human food and drink suppliers on a national basis to our farm customers. You will provide accurate commercial and market information to the Field Based Account Managers, Merchants as well as direct farm sales. This role is varied and involves liaising with our planning and logistic teams as you will play an important part in retaining our existing customer base and managing supply contracts to ensure all financial targets are met as well as driving for new business sales.
Your responsibilities
* Drive sales of co-products from points of supply to satisfaction of suppliers and to ensure that communication is maintained with all key personnel at supply sites (3rd party & ForFarmers).
* Sales volumes and margin realization for co-products sales.
* Following up on leads from the sales force and own lead generation.
* Identifying new business opportunities and working with product managers on how to capture.
* 100% logging on our CRM system of all customer interactions.
Your profile
* Completed higher-level vocational education (BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma or equivalent).
* Significant continuous work experience within a telephone sales environment.
* Results driven with experience in target driven environments.
* Motivation for sales and a commercial acumen.
* Sales and closing skills.
* Ability to motivate internal and external sales teams, suppliers and logistic partners.
* Computer literacy and CRM experience.
* Proactive, customer centric approach.
* Ability to build rapport quickly and longer term relationships over the telephone.
* Agricultural experience is advantageous.
