About the Role The successful candidate will lead the evaluation of ‘ Every Child Parenting Health Information Resources’, focusing on their implementation, dissemination, and impact. This role involves designing and executing a mixed-methods evaluation to assess resource awareness, usage, quality, and barriers to implementation across Wales. You will report to a Principal Public Health Practitioner and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities Fieldwork Design: Lead the evaluation's fieldwork in alignment with best practices for process evaluations. Data Collection: Conduct qualitative interviews and focus groups with midwives, health visitors, and strategic stakeholders from various Welsh health boards. Data Analysis: Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis using appropriate methods, including thematic analysis. Reporting: Integrate findings into a comprehensive evaluation report with actionable insights. Ethical Standards: Ensure adherence to governance, ethical guidelines, and data protection standards. Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams for participant recruitment, survey development, and translation services. Person Specification Essential Qualifications and Experience: PhD in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience. Demonstrated expertise in process evaluation, using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Strong experience in public health evaluation or a related discipline, including collaboration with health professionals. Skilled in research software such as NVivo, R, or Python. Proven ability to manage projects, lead multidisciplinary teams, and engage diverse stakeholders. Desirable Experience: Knowledge of parenting health information and Welsh public health systems. Familiarity with the Welsh Language Act and its implications for evaluation. Experience applying behavioural science models such as COM-B in evaluations. Support Provided The project team will provide assistance with translation services, participant recruitment, and governance compliance. Weekly check-ins and templates will ensure a structured approach to project delivery.
