Role: Infrastructure Engineer - AWS

Role mission:
Reporting to the Cloud Infrastructure Manager and as a member of the fast-paced Infrastructure team, broad responsibilities include the implementation and operation of all production and non-production environments. This includes Public (AWS) and Private cloud infrastructure and supporting technologies and participation in team shift patterns to cover 7am to 7pm and an out of hours on-call rota.
Responsibilities:
1. Work within the Infrastructure Operations global team to deliver a global follow-the-sun 2/3rd tier support service.
2. Day to day operations and maintenance of both public and private cloud environments (VMWare, AWS).
3. Support and maintenance of Infrastructure within internally hosted platforms and other cloud hosted services, supporting CUBE services (VMWare, Linux, SQL, AD, SANs, Backups etc).
4. Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of infrastructure security.
5. Raising, designing, and implementing recommendations for improvements to internal/public cloud environments.
What were looking for:
1. AWS Cloud Experience.
2. Expertise in Linux, Ansible, Prometheus, Zabbix, HashiCorp.
3. Experience with Elastic.
4. Strong Virtual Networking, VMware, Virtual Machine Administration, vCenter Administration.
5. Good understanding of Physical Network Topologies, Routing, vLANs, Firewalling.
6. Full UK driving license and car with the ability to attend data centers in Newport, Wales and Farnborough, Surrey within 2 hours.
