Join Department for Business and Trade (DBT) as a G7 Senior Data Analyst and help us transform DBT into an insight-driven organisation that tells compelling stories with its data. You will be based within a Digital, Data, and Technology (DDaT) team of data analysts who do and facilitate analysis with users across the department. We work alongside a multidisciplinary team who are responsible for developing our data and insight platform, Data Workspace. The platform gives our staff access to a large catalogue of data and a suite of user-friendly and secure tools to analyse it.
Our team uses Data Workspace and supports its users by monitoring and improving data quality, onboarding new datasets, helping other colleagues use analytical tools such as SQL, R, Python, and QuickSight, reviewing custom data visualisations designed by DBT staff, and creating analytical dashboards ourselves. Our team members are supported and encouraged to become expert users of a wide range of analysis tools to assist DBT colleagues and contribute to the department's data-informed insights and strategic decisions. This is a role at the heart of analysis and data in DBT, that stretches across different workstreams.
