Lead Pharmacist for ICU and Theatres
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust for a motivated and experienced Pharmacist to join our progressive Clinical Pharmacy Team as a Lead pharmacist for ICU and Theatres.
In addition to excellent communication and leadership skills, you will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council, have previous experience of working within a clinical environment, and have completed a post-graduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. Evidence of multi-disciplinary teamwork and clinical pharmacy experience within critical care areas where patients have one or more system failures is beneficial, as is experience of financial analysis, commissioning, and risk management.
Training and support will be given, and a commitment to continuing professional development is essential.
Main duties of the job
1. To lead on the delivery of the Trust's Medicines Optimisation agenda to the patients admitted under the care of Intensive Care (ICU) and Surgical Theatres within the Trust.
2. To manage pharmacy staff working at a ward level within the designated areas including ICU & Theatres.

* Current registered practising Member of GPhC
* Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy
* Independent Pharmacist Prescriber or willingness to work towards qualification
* Masters Degree in Pharmacy or equivalent

* Accredited Diploma Tutor
Experience
Essential
* Substantial Hospital Pharmacy experience, with a significant amount within an acute UK hospital environment.
* Clinical pharmacy experience at ward level.
* Multidisciplinary teamwork.
