Madisons Recruitment are working with a reputable contractor within their Water Authorities Division in their search for a Working Site Supervisor to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive carpentry/multi trade experience.
As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations at various job sites overseen by our Project Manager. Your role will involve supervising a team of tradesmen and sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with quality and safety regulations, and maintaining high standards of reporting.
Duties include:
1. Supervise and manage a team of tradesmen and sub-contractors at multiple job sites
2. Monitor and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
3. Co-ordinate and schedule work assignments for the team
4. Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
5. Provide guidance and support to team members, including training and development opportunities
6. Maintain accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any incidents or accidents that occur on-site
7. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
8. Resolve issues or conflicts that arise during the course of work
9. Working on the tools where required with a suitable Carpentry / Multi Trade Background
Experience:
1. Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the construction or related industry
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
5. Ability to read drawings and interpret project specifications
6. Proficient in using computer software for record keeping and reporting
Essential Requirements:
1. Minimum 3 year’s experience
2. SMSTS / SSSTS (or keen to achieve these)
3. Driving Licence (preferably clean)
4. Own basic tool kits
5. NVQ L4 Construction Site Supervision (or keen to achieve)
